11th to 2nd Division in 12 Days: Race Fixing Allegations Denied.
Melissa: “In what has to be a major case of race fixing, we at Chat Tabloids were horrified to read race reports showing the insidious team Australian Warlord leaping from Division 11 to Division 2 in just twelve days. The infamous team, which first came to prominence by engaging in AV dopping, called Butchering by oldtimers, a practice that resulted in authorities introducing declining RV values to counter; is more widely known for DP dopping and divisional dopping, along with the routinely reported cyclist kidnappings, slavery, & rumoured horrendous experimentations inside the AW lair. For the latest report on the nefarious outfit, we now turn to our trusted reporter Eric.”
Eric: “We’re standing near the finish at Praha Street, where yesterday Finn McCracken finished 1st to take Australian Warlord into Division 2. As you can see behind me, barricades are still not fully removed, and the reason is simple. Race officials are combing for evidence of race fixing. Here’s Australian Warlord’s season 54 record so far.
Season 54: Days 2 to 13
Points: 1179
Total victories: 17
Longest consecutive winning streak: 13
Total results: 34
Prize money: 360,000
Promotion Bonus to Division 2: 20,000
Officials are being tight-lipped about their investigation, however sources have stated off the record that they’re searching for evidence, after all, it’s impossible for any team to record thirteen straight wins in a row, and not to mention cyclists having never achieved results above Division 6 suddenly blitzing the Division 3 competition. It’s all rather suspicious.
And the evidence doesn’t stop there. In the initial Division 11 races back in days two to six, eyewitnesses told us there were barricades in place with the AW squad the only team racing, and a number of other Division 11 races where other teams cyclists were suspiciously laggard, as if they’d had their food tampered with for poor wellness.
Beyond the standard Australian Warlord scandalous actions which we’ve reported on in the past, there’s also questions as to how can cyclists in the one team record 1-2 results, and whether they had teammates deliberately block the road to allow for easy victories. And finally, there’s major questions being asked about the over a million dollars of transactions that gone through AW’s bank accounts in the last two weeks, and the suspiciously new equipment the team has been using.
AW’s secretary of course denied any race fixing allegations, no surprise there, and race officials won’t talk to us about these allegations, however given that Rustgold is boasting that the team will be racing in Division 1 before season’s end, we’ll be watching for any more insidious activities from the infamous outfit.”
